OPEN ENROLLMENT INFO

Open Enrollment ends at 11:59pm Friday, November 8th

Blue Cross/Childrens' Hospital Contract battle: This happens every few years and will probably be resolved soon. Unfortunately, it may not be before Open Enrollment. Remember the Blue Cross High Deductible Plan does not have Out of Network provisions, but the PPO does. If you are worried about the contract issue not being solved, you could switch to this plan and have Out of Network provisions for Children's Hospital starting in January (If the contract issue is not resolved).

If you enroll in the Saver's Choice High Deductible Plan, you must select the HSA option also in order to get the City HSA contribution to your account ($1,125 for single, $2,250 for family)

If you have a serious health problem and unable to get additional life insurance on the open market, you can increase your City life insurance by up to $20,000 if you have not hit the max of $150,000 of City coverage. If your spouse has serious health problems, they can increase their coverage by up to $20,000 if they have not hit the max of $50,000 of City purchased life insurance. This provision expires at the end of Open Enrollment.

To Get the Wellness Incentive money of $60 per month for member and spouse, the wellness signup needs to be completed. I am confirming the annual Health Center Physical to see if it meets the PCP visit requirements.
